Autodesk Inventor gives you a facility to create 3D sketch that can be used for creating sweep in 3D environment. To create a 3D sketch, choose 3D sketch tool from the Sketch panel of the 3D Model tab in the Ribbon. After selecting this tool, 3D sketch environment will be invoked and you can create a 3D sketch with help the 3D Sketch tools like Line, Spline, Helical Curve, and so on. Below figures shows 3D sketch created by using the Line tool and the sweep feature created by using this 3D sketch.
